Reposted by @reshare_app • @inscriptive_practices Day 3 of Rare Breeds and Other Species at the Manchester School of Architecture @themsarch , with Visiting Professor Perry Kulper @pkulper and Dr Emma-Kate Matthews @emmatr0n , unfolded a day of deep resonance — intellectually, spatially, and sonically. The morning’s conversation, Thesis Constructions, traced the frameworks and mechanics that support the making of a thesis — from I Could Imagines and Entourage to the Mechanics of Engagement. Through this dialogue, Perry and Emma explored modes of thinking that invite curiosity and speculative invention. In the afternoon, Emma-Kate delivered her phenomenal talk Resonant Bodies in Spatiosonic Fields — an exploration of spatiosonic practice as a field between architecture, music, and sound art. Through audio-visual excerpts and demonstrations, she revealed how sound both articulates and is articulated by space, how tuning, drawing, and making form a resonant continuum of thought and material. Magnificent!Thank you, Emma-Kate, for such an extraordinary day — for your generosity, clarity, and the depth of thought that moves through your work. Resonant Bodies in Spatiosonic Fields was nothing short of phenomenal — a true unfolding of sound, space, and speculation.Your work opens such rich terrain for architecture — attuned, resonant, and alive.. #music #drawing #sound #tgesus #architecture #architect #experimental #architecturestudent
